Q-IFTUK – Celebrating Queer Irish Talent
Following the tremendous success of the Irish Pride Film Festival this July, we are thrilled to announce the launch of a brand-new division Q-IFTUK!
Q-IFTUK is led by the talented actor, presenter, and broadcaster Derek Murphy, who also co- founded and hosted this year’s Irish Pride Film Festival. With his passion for the arts and dedication to celebrating diverse voices, Derek is the perfect leader to bring this new initiative to life.
Q-IFTUK is a dynamic platform dedicated to promoting and celebrating queer Irish filmmakers, artists, and their art forms. We aim to spotlight the wealth of queer Irish talent not only from Ireland but within the vibrant Irish Diaspora in the UK and to the broader community at large. From film and television to performance art and beyond, Q-IFTUK will amplify the voices of queer Irish creators and provide a space for their unique stories and artistic expressions to be seen and heard.
We invite submissions, ideas, and contributions for upcoming LGBTQ+ events, film screenings, panel discussions, and creative showcases. If you have a project, an event, or a story that you believe would resonate with the community, we’d love to hear from you!
