Brendan (Gerry Herbert) is a widowed cattle farmer living out his quiet life on the edge of a village. He’s well liked, enjoying a pint and a gossip in the pub and looking out for others. As he grows older, though, Brendan recognises he might be the one who needs support. When an incident of brutal violence visits his community, Brendan’s sense of isolation is heightened.
